BRITISH COMEDIAN MO GILLIGAN TO PERFORM IN RIGA
Three-time BAFTA TV Award winner, hailed by “The Times” as “the funniest man in Britain” and star of his own Netflix specials – Mo Gilligan – will bring his brand-new comedy show “The Mo You Know” to Riga next year. The acclaimed comedian and showman has already sold out multiple tours across the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and of course his home country, the UK. The performance will take place on 14 November 2026 at Palladium Riga.
Tickets go on sale from 10:00 on 26 September via the “Biļešu Serviss” network. Members of the Positivus Festival and FBI Concert Club will have access to a presale starting 10:00 on 24 September, using a code sent to registered users.
The Mo You Know follows Mo Gilligan’s string of career successes and hugely popular Netflix stand-up specials. His 2022 release “There’s Mo To Life” and his debut “Momentum”—streamed in 190 countries including Latvia—showcase Mo’s big-hearted approach to comedy: nobody in this world is truly bad; we all make ourselves into loveable fools from time to time as we try to deal with life’s everyday challenges.
Born in London to Jamaican parents, Mo masterfully captures the multicultural spirit of contemporary Britain in his shows—recounting hilarious situations with warmth and affection, while referencing world-famous names like Shakira, Bukayo Saka, Stormzy, Jay-Z, and Kanye West. With tenderness, he weaves these personalities into awkward, relatable, and universally recognizable moments from everyday life. At the same time, Mo guides his audiences through the absurdities of the entertainment industry, which he has experienced first-hand while building a dazzling career from humble beginnings in Europe’s fiercely competitive arts scene.
“The Mo You Know” is a unique opportunity for Latvian audiences and stand-up fans to enjoy an unforgettable night of comedy.
