On September 26, MASA Kultūrbārs presents West Coast Jazz. Emerging on the U.S. West Coast in the mid-20th century, West Coast jazz is known for its structured arrangements, clear melodic lines, and a more restrained yet precise improvisational style. Unlike the intensity of New York bebop, this genre embodies a relaxed groove and flowing rhythms. The trio of spectecular musicians will present works by Gerry Mulligan, Chet Baker, Dave Brubeck, and other icons of the style.
