Start Over festival. Īpašie viesi grupa 'Citi zēni'

 

As part of the festival, the indie-folk musical project "Viedais fonogrāfs" album will be presented on the big stage in the VEF Promenade, while at 21:00 the music hooligans "Citi zēni" will take the stage. A bar and a food court area will operate in the event area.

 

The roots of the "Viedais fonogrāfs" idea can be traced back to the autumn of 2019, when the musician of the band "Ducele" Arnis Veisbārdis was presented with a manuscript by a folklore researcher, in which ancient Latvian deities, their meaning and connection with Latvian folk songs, beliefs, mantras, fairy tales, were blessed. What I read in this study was largely consistent with my own life experience or accumulated life wisdom. Then the concert program "Viedais fonogrāfs"  was created... The stylistics of the songs included in the album, the accents of Latvian national romanticism create a comprehensive feeling of being around a family and warm fire. You can sing and/or dance to it not only in the frequent moments of summer togetherness, but also in autumn, winter celebrations and flourishing spring parties.

 

On the other hand, by combining pop, neo-soul, and rap music genres in the first radio singles, the group "Citi Zēni" is the hottest news in the Latvian pop music world in recent years. The self-proclaimed princes of rap and the 21st century. pop music divas, whose explosive energy of live performances and eccentric image are the basis of the band "Citi Zēni". In less than three years, since the founding of the group in 2020, "Citi Zēni" have received the "Zelta Mikrofons" Music Recording of the Year award, won the show "Muzikalā banka 2022" and represented Latvia at Eurovision 2022. At the end of February this year, the group "Citi Zēni" released his second studio album "Another Level".

 

Parking will be available in the VEF Quarter territory (Europark) or at TC Domina.

 

In consideration of an eco-friendly event, a deposit system will be in place at VEF Quarter bars.

 

Please adhere to the safety rules of the territory by leaving children's bicycles and scooters at home. Bringing drinks and food into the area will not be permitted. Photos and videos will be taken during the event.
