After serving 15 years in prison for robbery, Anker is finally released. The only person who knows where the stolen money is hidden is his brother, Manfred. But Manfred has since suffered a mental breakdown, developing a disorder that has caused him to forget everything. He also believes he is John Lennon and dreams of reuniting the legendary band.

Determined to recover both the money and a sense of themselves, the brothers embark on an unexpected journey back to their childhood homeland — a journey that will ultimately reveal who they really are.
