Smash Into Pieces captivated listeners from the very beginning with their debut single “Fading” - a short-form rock opera that starts with acoustic, lyrical tones, suddenly pulls listeners into a whirlwind of heavy rock with dizzying guitar solos, and finally returns them gently to calm and silence, like the stillness after a storm.
Signed to Gain Music Entertainment (a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment Sweden) since 1995, the band received early recognition as "Best Newcomer of 2012" from Sweden’s premier rock radio station Bandit Rock, following the release of their debut album “Unbreakable”. After the album reached number 7 on the Swedish charts, they embarked on a European tour, bringing their explosive live performances to a wider audience.
With eight studio albums under their belt, Smash Into Pieces has developed a signature sound that blends frontman Chris Adam’s commanding vocals with virtuosic guitars, drums and a dynamic use of electronic elements. The band also showcased their versatility with the acoustic deluxe edition of their 2021 album “A New Horizon”.
Their international success has continued to grow - the band made a strong showing in Sweden’s national Melodifestivalen contest in both 2023 and 2024, and recently completed their first headlining tour across North America, having previously performed there as a support act.
The group’s most successful single to date is “Six Feet Under” from their latest album “Ghost Code” (2023). This year, Smash Into Pieces has already released a string of new singles - "Wildfire", "Hurricane", "Maze of Fools", "Heroes", "Man or Machine", "Paradise" and "A Sky Full of Stars". Latvian fans are invited to experience the band’s intense live energy and join the storm on 5 October at Palladium Rīga.
